Loudoun Education Association PAC endorses Tia for Blue Ridge Supervisor
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 7, 2019
Round Hill —Today, Tia Walbridge, Democratic nominee for Blue Ridge Supervisor, announced that Loudoun Education Association (LEA) PAC endorsed her campaign for the Loudoun Board of Supervisors.
"It's an honor to be recommended by LEA PAC," Walbridge said. "There is no endorsement that means more to me. Our public schools are one of our county's greatest strengths, and I look forward to dedicating my term in office making sure they are some of the most competitive and inclusive in the nation. It gives me great strength to know that I have Loudoun's educators behind me in this fight to bring real leadership to our county."
LEA PAC's recommendation follows a national endorsement from Vote Mama PAC, which supports pro-choice moms running for office, endorsements from Rep. Jennifer Wexton and several state and local representatives, and a score of "51/50" from Equality Loudoun, a group focused on promoting LGBTQ+ rights in Loudoun County.
The steady flow of endorsements builds on Walbridge's climbing momentum. The campaign recently announced a $20,000 cash-on-hand advantage over the incumbent after leading in fundraising over a second filing period.
Tia is a sheep farmer and small business owner. She was appointed to sit on the Virginia Agricultural Council and is a board member of Loudoun County Farm Bureau. She also serves on the board of Dandelion Meadow, a nonprofit that provides facilities for women battling addiction in Loudoun County.
