Round Hill —Today, Tia Walbridge, Democratic nominee for Blue Ridge Supervisor, announced that Vote Mama PAC endorsed her campaign for the Loudoun Board of Supervisors.
"I'm so excited to be endorsed by Vote Mama," Walbridge said. "The first time I ran for office, my daughters were 6 and 10 and my husband worked a full-time job. No one writes a script for how to make it all work. I'm incredibly grateful that this organization has stepped up to help moms run for office. Every time we show up for women candidates, we send a message to women and girls across the country that they too can run for office, and when they do, they'll have a movement under them to lift them up."
"I could not be more impressed with these 12 mothers who stepped up to run for office to make their town, county, state, and country a better place for their children," Vote Mama Founder and CEO Liuba Grechen Shirley said. "I am thrilled to mentor and finance their campaigns and invest in their success."
Vote Mama's endorsement follows endorsements from Rep. Jennifer Wexton, Sen. Boysko, Del. Wendy Gooditis, and several other state and local representatives.
Tia is a sheep farmer and small business owner. She was appointed to sit on the Virginia Agricultural Council and is a board member of Loudoun County Farm Bureau. She also serves on the board of Dandelion Meadow, a nonprofit that provides facilities for women battling addiction in Loudoun County.
